Masumi is afraid of the wind. In addition to trying to hide under and in things, in her fear she tries to unplug electrical items. On occasion she also empties the medicine cabinet, knocks over the trash cans, knocks over items on dressers and desks. The knocking things over and unplugging items is behavior she exhibits when it’s windy and she’s left alone. At least we have assumed that she is the one unplugging lamps and routers and knocking things over.
If someone is with her when it’s windy she buries herself under things like sinks or tiny tables. And in between trying to find a place to hide she claws the person to no end.
Unfortunately none of this behavior seems to make her any calmer. She doesn’t like wind, tough when one lives in San Francisco.
